What's not to love about Canada? Mountains, lakes, cool cities, beaches and bears - it made for the ultimate road trip. We took almost 4 weeks to explore British Colombia and Alberta - Canada is so HUGE we will have to go back and try and see the rest! It was an epic holiday with some of my absolute favourite memories made here.
Transport: We took direct flights from Manchester to Vancouver with Air Transat - cheap and direct, but definitely not the most comfortable or plush airline! We hired a car from Vancouver which we drop off in the same location at the end of out rip. The car hire cost (for over 3 weeks) was really reasonable and the roads were easy to drive and in excellent condition. We also took a ferry from Vancouver to Victoria - if you know your times, book this advance we had to wait for a number of hours on the way back.
Accommodation: The accommodation in Canada was very good and cheaper than the UK. It depended on location, obviously and Banff and Jasper were more expensive than some of the less popular National Parks.
Food and Drink: Eating and drinking in Canada was a reasonable price and we had a lot of excellent meals in restaurants - especially in the cities. We also used the supermarkets regularly when we were hiking and these were excellent.
