Day 3

Our next day began with a trip to the Louvre - Tip! Buy your tickets online in advance - the queue was HUGE! Its lovely to spend time in the courtyard - I love the blend of old and new buildings.

We decided to walk and visit Palais du Luxembourg and ambled through the gorgeous St Germain des pres area. The Palais du Luxembourg  was beautiful, as were the gardens surrounding it, complete with being able to rent little toy boats to sail across a pond. They have an Angelina cafe there so you can stop in for a famous hot chocolate!

We then walked to the Notre Dame Cathedral and queued to get inside. I was really excited, and it lived up to my Disney dreams. The stained glass windows immense and I loved spotting all the gargoyles. Unfortunately our luck of climbing up building was continuing, we weren't allowed to the top of Notre Dame - I'll have to put it on the itinerary for my next visit. Right by the Notre Dame is the ''lock bridge'' which was by July 2016 no more! People have started putting locks in other random places, but it's just not the same!

We the strolled the Ile Sanit-Louis and got a famous Berthillons ice cream before finally heading to The Place des Vosages where we sat on the grass and had a late afternoon relax.

We had a gorgeous evening meal at Monsieur Bleu, which has incredible views of the Eiffel Tower which we were able to see by night. We completed our time in Paris by heading out to Ciel de Paris for a cocktail with a view!

On our way back home we asked our taxi driver to drop us off at the Louvre to admire how pretty it looks at night!
