We took the ferry across to Skye - it is locally run and gives a lovely approach to Skye. There were lots of seals swimming in the surrounding waters too. Once we were on the Island we drove a very short distance to Kyleakin Otter Hide. It is a nice little walk above to coast where we could keep watch for seals and there were information boards with other wildlife to look out for. We stayed in the otter hide for a while - but unfortunately didn't see one on the shores below.
From there we headed across the island, stopping for lunch in Broadford at Cafe Sia (they do amazing pizza!) to Talisker Bay. The drive was filled with stunning scenery and when we arrived we had about a half hour walk to get to the bay. It was gorgeous. Talisker 10 is Tom's favourite Whiskey, so of course we visited the distillery in Talisker village.
We continued our drive North and headed to Neist Point - it was incredibly windy, but just as good as those photographs I had seen on Pinterest! We spent quite a while walking down to the point, and to the cliffs above to get some perfect views.
We went to check into our apartment in the picturesque and quaint Portree. We had a wander around before having a delicious dinner in Cuchullin Restaurant.
